Notes
Vienna uses a parallel tariff: distance and time are both charged for the whole trip. Day (Monday–Saturday 06:00–23:00): €3.80 flag fall, €0.95 per km for the first 5 km, €0.58 per km after that, plus €0.58 per minute of the trip. Night (23:00–06:00), Sundays and public holidays: €4.30 flag fall and distance and time rates 15% higher. The meter moves in 20-cent steps.
A €2.00 surcharge applies to taxis ordered by phone or internet, and another €2.00 for more than 4 passengers in a suitable vehicle; no other surcharges are allowed. Pre-booked trips may be sold at a fixed price up to 20% below or above the meter fare.
Vienna Airport is in Schwechat, Lower Austria, outside the Vienna tariff area: fares for trips leaving Vienna are not bound by the Vienna tariff and are agreed freely, so airport fares will differ from this estimate.
