Notes
These are the Brussels-Capital Region’s fixed fares for trips taken without a booking in a station taxi (black with a black and mango-yellow chequered stripe). The fare is €2.60 to start, €2.30 per km and €0.60 for every minute started, with a €2.00 night surcharge from 22:00 to 06:00 and a minimum fare of €8.00.
The per-minute charge applies for the whole trip, moving or stopped. Estimates include it using the route’s expected travel time, so slow traffic can make the real fare higher.
Booked trips (station or street taxis) have minimum rates of €1.50 to start, €1.50 per km and €0.40 per minute (minimum €8.00), and may charge up to twice those rates. Grand Luxe street taxis start at €5.00, €3.00 per km and €1.00 per minute, up to five times those rates.
Brussels Airport is in Zaventem (Flanders), outside the Brussels region: taxis from the airport rank are licensed by the municipality of Zaventem under Flemish rules and their own tariffs.
