Notes
Street hails and rank pick-ups use tariff level 2: €4.30 base price (which already includes the first €0.20 distance step), then €2.80 per km for 0–3 km, €2.60 per km for 3–7 km and €2.10 per km after 7 km, charged in €0.20 steps. The card shows the base price as €4.10 because the first €0.20 step is charged from the start. Waiting, including in traffic, is €39.00 per hour after the first minute of each stop.
Trips starting at BER airport use the airport tariff (level 3) instead: €4.30 base price, €2.60 per km for the first 5 km, then €2.00 per km, waiting €36.00 per hour, plus €1.50 for taxis from the airport rank system. The estimate uses the city tariff for these trips, so it will be slightly high for long trips from BER.
Short-trip flat fare (Kurzstrecke): €6.00 for up to 2 km, only when hailing a moving taxi on the street (not at a rank or when booked), on request. After 2 km the meter switches over to the normal tariff.
A large taxi for the 5th to 8th passenger, or for items that need one, costs €6.00 extra. Luggage, dogs, wheelchairs and prams travel free.
Pre-booked trips by phone or app may be offered at a fixed price within a corridor of 20% above to 10% below the metered fare (Festpreis und Tarifkorridor, since June 2024).
