Notes
Tariff 1 applies 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 6pm Saturday. Tariff 2 applies 10pm to 2am Monday to Friday, 6pm to 2am Saturday, 6am to 2am Sunday and on public holidays. Estimates here use Tariff 2 all day Saturday, so Saturday daytime trips may cost a little less. Tariff 3 applies 2am to 6am every day.
Each passenger in excess of one pays 30p. Each article of baggage carried outside the passenger compartment is 10p, each trunk £1.00 (£1.50 on Tariff 3), each pedal cycle £2.00 and each uncaged animal (except assistance dogs) £2.00. A soilage charge of £70 may apply.
The meter applies to journeys within the city boundary; for journeys ending outside Oxford, agree the fare first. Oxford has no major airport; Heathrow is the nearest.
