Notes
These are the National Maximum Taxi Fare set by the National Transport Authority for all of Ireland; drivers may charge less but not more.
The meter charges by distance, switching to time (€27.98 an hour Standard, €38.37 Premium, €46.64 Special on the first tariff) when the taxi drops below 21.2 km/h. The higher Tariff B starts once the running fare passes €23.60 (Standard) or €31.80 (Premium), about 15 km.
Premium rate applies 20:00–08:00 Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday and public holidays. The Special rate applies 00:00–04:00 every Saturday and Sunday morning and over Christmas and New Year.
Extras: €1 for each additional adult; one child free, then €1 for every two children under 12; €3 booking fee for phone, app or in-person bookings; tolls as incurred; soiling charge up to €140.
