Notes
The meter runs in €0.10 steps: €1.33/km until a further €7.00 has accumulated after the starting charge, then €1.45/km for the next €25.00, then €1.73/km. Below 20 km/h it charges by time at €32.58 an hour.
The €9.00 minimum fare applies to every metered trip; supplements are added on top. Metered trips picked up at Fiumicino Airport have a €35.00 minimum and at Ciampino Airport a €25.00 minimum (supplements count towards these), and a metered trip between Fiumicino and anywhere inside the GRA ring road is capped at €80.00.
Supplements: first bag free, then €1.00 per bag larger than 35x25x50 cm; €5.00 per passenger from the fifth; radio-taxi call fixed fee €5.00 (romamobilita.it; the Roma Capitale FAQ says €4.00). On a phone or app booking inside the GRA, the meter on pick-up may show no more than the starting charge plus €5.00.
Discounts: 10% to public hospitals and for young people leaving clubs on Friday and Saturday nights (with participating venues); 15% for women travelling alone at night (22:00–06:00). Not on minimum fares, flat fares or airport and port trips.
