Notes
Taxi fares in the Netherlands are capped by national maximum tariffs set each year by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Street-hail and rank taxis may charge less but not more; the rates shown are the 2026 maximums for a car carrying up to 4 people.
The maximum fare also includes €0.52 for every minute of the trip, charged while moving as well as stopped. Estimates include it using the route’s expected travel time, so slow traffic can make the real fare higher.
Minibuses (5 to 8 people) may charge up to € 8.77 to start, € 4.00 per km and € 0.59 per minute. A waiting charge of € 59.41 per hour may be charged only if agreed before the trip starts. Drivers may offer a fixed price or charge for extra services such as lifting luggage, but only if agreed before the trip.
